Electrocardiogram (ECG)

EEG

The standard 12 lead ECG is the most commonly used non-invasive procedure for analysing the electrical activity of the heart. The electrocardiogram analysis is seen as a starting point for detecting many cardiac nuances and is used routinely in physical examinations. Further to this, it can be used for monitoring a patient during symptomatic episodes to evaluate causes of chest pain, palpitation and arrhythmia.

All ECG’s recorded at Express Diagnostics have a device formulated interpretation which is over read for accuracy by a qualified Cardiac Physiologist or Cardiographer. This assures precise diagnosis with every ECG and guarantees the quality control expected in the national governance and compliancy guidelines. Furthermore, a complete Cardiologist over read service is available with all ECG’s recorded at our centre.
